The ticket includes a tour of Ibsen's apartment and the theater stage, as well as entrance to the exhibition I rather ask.
How to find us
IBSEN Museum & Teater is located in the city centre in Henrk Ibsens gate 26, close to the Royal Palace.
Nationaltheatret is the closest main station, with a wide range of buses, trains and trams. Check out ruter.no for detailed schedules. The museum is a 5 minutes walk from Nationaltheatret.
Practical information
- Tickets: Tickets can be purchased digitally in advance of the visit, or at the cashier. Buy here
- Accessibility: The museum is wheelchair friendly, with easy access from the street. There is an elevator for wheelchairs and baby prams/ strollers. Ibsen's apartment is partially accessible for wheelchairs, prams can be placed in the hallway outside. The exhibition has good accessibility for both wheelchairs and prams.
- Museumshop: Our museumshop with a wide range of products, literature and souvenirs, is located at the Ground Floor.
- Toilets and warderobes: Toilets and self-service wardrobes with lockers in the basement. HC- toilet is available at the Ground Floor.
- Food and drink: It is not permitted to bring food and drink into Ibsen's apartment.
- Dog: Dogs are not allowed with the exception of assistance dogs.
