Guided tour of Henrik Ibsen’s home

The main attraction in the IBSEN Museum & Teater is the completely restored home of Henrik Ibsen with the original interior, original colours and decor. This is where Ibsen spent his last 11 years and wrote his last two dramas.

We offer guided tours every hour. Join us on a journey through time and experience Henrik Ibsen's final residence in Oslo. You can explore Ibsen’s study and even see the original bathtub among the preserved furniture.The guided tour also includes a visit to our theatre stage.

The tour last 30 minutes and are offered in English and Norwegian.
The ticket includes a guided tour of Ibsen's home and our theatre stage, as well as entrance to the exhibition «I rather ask».

It is not possible to visit Ibsen's apartment on your own.

Groups are advised to book in advance at (+47) 40023630 or ibsen@norskfolkemuseum.no 

Groups over 15 persons will be divided in smaller groups.
